Who are you?

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's critical IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with virtualization, networking, security, Office 365 administration, and disaster recovery solutions. This role requires hands-on expertise in managing both on-premises environments, supporting remote teams, and ensuring system security and high availability. The Senior System Administrator will work closely with various IT teams to improve system performance, automate workflows, and provide advanced technical support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Virtualization and Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage and maintain virtualized environments using Hyper-V in a Hyper-Converged infrastructure.
  • Administer and manage virtual servers and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of on-premises virtual environments.

Microsoft Office 365 & Identity Management:

  • Administer and manage Microsoft Office 365 infrastructure, including user accounts, email services, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Ensure proper configuration and security of Office 365 services, including managing licensing, user permissions, and policies.
  • Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), ensuring proper user authentication and access control.
  • Oversee Active Directory, LDAP, and BitLocker for device encryption and user management.

Networking and VoIP:

  • Administer and troubleshoot 3CX VoIP systems.
  • Manage networking setups using tools like PRTG, Lansweeper, and Darktrace.
  • Ensure proper configuration of Cisco networking equipment, Meraki, and Fortinet firewalls.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and manage EDR solutions, firewalls, and antivirus systems.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards such as ISO 27001, SOC2, and GDPR.
  • Participate in security auditing, risk assessments, and incident response.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

  • Set up and manage VEEAM backups and disaster recovery plans.
  • Ensure regular testing and validation of DR plans for on-premises environments.

Helpdesk and Remote Support:

  • Support remote employees using RDS, VDI, and ticketing systems like Atlassian Jira.
  • Provide technical support for remote desktops and helpdesk issues.

Documentation and Standardization:

  • Document IT procedures and design standardized troubleshooting processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date configurations for compliance and auditing.

 

Ideal Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of Hyper-V cluster infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience managing Microsoft Office 365 infrastructure and services.
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, subnets).
  • Proficiency in managing Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet networking equipment.
  • Experience with 3CX VoIP systems and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with backup solutions, security frameworks, and compliance regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
